This picture? It was taken by one of our volunteer teachers (you’ll meet him soon) on a teachers’ trip to a beachside villa near Puttalam, Sri Lanka
Sandfights at sundown, thambili (fresh coconut water) by the poolside, snoozing after large rice and curry meals… we had a blast, and it’s typical of the ‘SVS Life’ as we like to call it.
Here, the team at SVS School for English share our stories and experiences of what it’s like volunteering at SVS School for English, to give our readers a taste of the ‘SVS Life’. Some of us have been here for years, some of us a little less, but we’re all united in our love for education, and doing our best for the students who come to us
And the best bit? You can join us too…
